AN EXPERIENCE UNLIKE ANY OTHER

Experiences for you to discover and immerse yourself in.

The Other Art Fair presents MAIN CHARACTER ENERGY

Step into the spotlight—Main Character Energy puts you at the center of the art fair. Whether you’re getting your portrait drawn, turning your brainwaves into artwork, or dancing through an immersive installation, this is your chance to be seen, interpreted, and celebrated. It’s bold, personal, and just a little bit theatrical.

You’re not just visiting — you’re the moment.

New Landscapes

Your brain activity becomes a one-of-a-kind visual in this video installation.

What does your brain look like on art?

Step into New Landscapes, a live neurofeedback experience where your brainwaves are transformed into a mesmerizing visual display in real time. Watch your thoughts, reactions, and sensory overload become abstract compositions—offering a rare glimpse into the inner workings of your mind and the inspiration behind Parham’s practice.

Explore Alicia’s paintings alongside the installation, then take it one step further: commission a one-of-a-kind artwork generated from your own brainwave data.

Rooted in neuropsychology and personal experience, Parham’s work bridges the gap between body and environment. Following a major health diagnosis, she began translating her neurological experiences into art—using custom EEG software to reinterpret visual disturbances into bold, layered forms. The result is a body of work that is both deeply personal and visually striking, spanning interactive video, sculptural forms, and painted surfaces.

Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Toledo Museum of Art, and recognized by the Dallas Museum of Art.

Come see what your mind can make.

Front Back and Side to Side (The Remix)

A stage-like environment where movement and presence matter.

Experience a world built from cardboard, duct tape, and vibrant neon colors! Inspired by DIY youth culture, breakdancing, and urban movement, this immersive installation lets you explore, and interact with abstract shapes and sweeping lines. Created through dance-like gestures, it’s playful, energetic, and completely one-of-a-kind.

The Faux-to Booth

A performative portrait experience: pose, wait, reveal.

The Faux-To Booth uses cutting edge Human Intelligence (HI) to render expressive depictions of human subjects. The process is simple – customers purchase a token, insert their coin into the slot, and within minutes the very manual “machine” spits out a one of a kind portrait by artists Aileen and Jef.

Portraits are $12 for solo portraits and $18 for doubles portraits.

Complimentary Portraits on Sunday from 12pm-2pm. First come, first serve.
