Los Angeles-based artist and cinematographer Bret Watkins transforms nostalgic Polaroid photography into embroidered mixed-media artworks called “Embroideroids,” combining analog imagery with hand-stitched embellishments to create surreal, joy-filled pieces he later shared through workshops at The Other Art Fair Los Angeles.

The Other Art Fair’s New Futures programme continued its mission of supporting underrepresented emerging artists in 2022 by providing free exhibition opportunities and mentorship, helping recipients across global fairs gain recognition through exhibitions, collaborations, and growing creative careers.
