Balcones Distilling

The Other Art Fair is officially partnering with the award-winning Balcones Distilling to celebrate the artistry in whisky-making and the connection between craftsmanship and creativity.

At the heart of this collaboration is the “Spirit of Balcones: Artist in Residence Program”, a new initiative to empower artists to transcend traditional studios and create artwork that showcases their interpretation of bold free thinking, reinvention, and embracing the magnetic sense of possibility that comes from expressing your full self.

In addition to the Artist in Residence program, attendees at the fair will have the chance to connect with members of the Balcones distillery team, savor craft Balcones cocktails and try various Balcones expressions at their sample station.

Friday Late Performance: PlexusPlay

PlexusPlay, the brainchild of Matt DiBiase, is a fusion of EDM energy, immersive 3D visuals, live vibraphone performance, and high-energy dance. Drawing from color bass, house, dubstep, and jazztronica, PlexusPlay will take you on a captivating audiovisual journey. Only Friday night only. Feed your curiosity and join us at Friday Late.

“The Karmacy” Interactive Installation

Venture into the realm of The Karmacy, an imaginative twist on the traditional ‘take what you need’ board. Here, you’re invited to select a bottle, each filled with what you might need the most, and let the good intentions of a karmacist set your journey in motion.

Once the magic has worked its charm, you can pass the torch of goodwill by replacing the karmacist’s message with your own words of encouragement.

Then, reset the cycle of kindness by placing the bottle back on the shelf, ready to inspire the next curious soul.
