My practice centres on themes of movement and change, light and dark, order and chaos. I like the way nature can reflect or effect our emotions; how mist passes and disperses to show intense clarity, where shadows shift and emotions change. The word "emotion" comes from the Latin "emovere", meaning "disturbance" or "disruption". I persue this idea in my drawings and paintings through creating structured working systems then disrupting them, sometimes selecting colours and directional marks by the roll of a dice. Order and control give way to spontaneity and chance.

I have shown in many art venues over the years, in central London and further afield. I have participated in many group shows, (open submissions and as an invited artist), as well as having had several solo shows. I teach part time in community venues to both adults and children in the London Borough of Hounslow and am very active in the local community, often writing articles for the local magazine with relevant art news etc. I currently have a studio in The Chocolate Factory in Wood Green, which I moved into after having completed my post graduate diploma last year. Since having my base here, I participated in the open studio this November and transformed the space into a curated exhibition
