Interactive performance and workshop for adults

Friday & Saturday 11.30am – 12.30pm

Coffee+Sponge ask the question; where lies the differences between what you think you know, and what you know you know about somebody? Can you describe what you see and what feel about someone in a drawing? What if you were blindfolded? Take part in this interactive performance and see what you really think.

Coffee+Sponge is a cross art form company founded in 2010 by visual artist Samuel Overington and playwright Jennifer Farmer to create immersive, interactive work in collaboration with the public.

Make your mark at the fair, with humorous drawing devices that trace your incidental gestures. Over the course of two days ‘Traffic’ will create a visual record of visitors as they pass through the fair. Polly Bagnall is a practicing artist interested in the capacity of everyday activities to produce art.

Charlie Partridge and Jack Stigner will help you to construct narratives based on comic book concepts using drawing, modelling and ‘splidge and splodge’ techniques. Charlie Partridge, a performer, comic and playwright and Theatre Director Jack Stigner join forces to collaborate on a number of creative projects.

Supplying 100 artists with an identical blank canvas, Harry Pye asked each one to create a representation of their own mother. Born of a simple concept, the resultant mélange of works reflects the essence of the meaning for the word Mothers. The exhibition includes work from Billy Childish, Bob and Roberta Smith, Chantal Joffe, Dinos Chapman plus 97 others…
